After distributing the mammoth Baahubali franchise films, Ajith’s Vivegam as well as the Shankar-directed Vikram starrer blockbuster I, Global United Media will now bring yet another biggie to Kerala audiences.
It has now been officially confirmed that Global United Media will be distributing the upcoming action thriller Mersal starring ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay in the lead role. As known to all, the actor enjoys a massive fan following in ‘God’s Own Country’ and it will no doubt be a treat for fans in the state as the film will now be releasing in 350+ screens on Diwali day.
It must be noted that Baahubali: The Conclusion aka Baahubali 2 was released across 320 screens while Ajith’s Vivegam came out in 309 screens in Kerala. Vijay’s Mersal getting this huge screen count is no doubt the biggest in terms of release in his career in the state.
More reason indeed for Vijay fans to cheer up ahead of Mersal‘s release on October 18.
