Soon after introducing the new generation Spectre 13 laptop and Spectre x360 convertible in the US tech market, HP Inc on Monday extended its product portfolio with the launch of a new range of HP Pavilion Power notebooks in the Indian market. The Windows 10-powered HP Pavilion Power notebooks have been designed to meet the requirements of the creative professionals as the notebooks come packed with powerful processors, dedicated gaming powers, premium audio, stable connectivity, and other computing capabilities. The HP Pavilion Power comes in variants based on its processing unit configuration and storage capacity. The starting model of the HP Pavilion Power comes with a price tag of Rs. 79,999 and goes all the way up to Rs. 99,990. The new range of HP Pavilion Power notebooks consists of HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb052tx, HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb053tx and HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb054tx.
The HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb052tx is powered by the 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor and comes with hybrid storage of 128GB PCIe SSD and 1TB hard disk drive (HDD) storage. On the other hand, the HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb053tx and HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb054tx are powered by the 7th Generation Intel Core i5 7300HQ processor but differ in terms of internal storage. The Pavilion – 15-cb054tx comes loaded with a 1TB HDD storage, while the Pavilion – 15-cb053tx model features hybrid storage with 128GB PCIe SSD and 1TB HDD storage.
In terms of specifications, the new notebook range comes equipped with a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS anti-glare display with a screen resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels. The notebook range also has a backlit keyboard with ‘Acid Green’ lighting. Talking about their power and performance, all these aforementioned laptops are powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors, which comes paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphic cards (2GB of dedicated GDDR5 in HP Pavilion – 15-cb054tx model, 4GB of dedicated GDDR5 in HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb053tx model, and 4GB of dedicated GDDR5 in HP Pavilion Power – 15-cb052tx model) for ultra-smooth and flawless visuals.
Talking about the multimedia department, the Pavilion Power range features stereo speakers with B&O Play and company’s HP Audio Boost technology support that provides smooth, rich, and crystal-clear sound experience to users in music, movies and gaming. The laptops come with HP Wide Vision Camera with wide-angle field of view for making video calls. Apart from this, the new Pavilion Power range also comes pre-installed with MS Office Home and Student 2016 Edition out-of-the-box, with a lifetime Microsoft Office productivity suite subscription. The Microsoft Office productivity suite includes MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS OneNote.
Ports on the devices include one USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 port, three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port, and one multi-format SD media card reader slot and one RJ-45 LAN port for wired connectivity. The connectivity options offered by the new HP laptops include Intel Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (with 2×2 MIMO technology) and Bluetooth v4.2. On the battery front, the new range of HP Pavilion Power notebooks is fuelled by a powerful 70Wh Li-ion, 4-cell lithium-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 14 hours and 15 minutes of battery life on a single charge. Note that, battery life may vary depending on the workload, usage type and environmental conditions. The company claims that the notebook series support company’s Fast Charge technology which promises to deliver 90 percent charge in just 90 minutes. Dimensionally, the HP Pavilion Power range measures 378 x 252.2 x 24.1 mm and weighs 2.18 kg.
