Chinese electronics Xiaomi has expanded its home-entertainment product portfolio with the launch of a new television range, called the “Xiaomi Mi TV 4C series” in the company’s homeland, China. The new Xiaomi Mi TV 4C range is the successor and also an upgrade to the Company’s previously launched Mi TV 4A series, which was launched in March this year. The new Xiaomi Mi TV 4C range comes in two variants based on their panel sizes, panel type and RAM configuration: Mi TV 4C 43-inch model with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, and Mi TV 4C 55-inch model with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.
As for pricing, the Mi TV 4C 43-inch model has been launched in China with a price tag of CNY 1,849 (approximately Rs. 18,000), while the high-end model with a 55-inch panel, 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage has been priced at CNY 2,649 (approximately Rs. 26,000). As we mentioned, both the TV models come with different screen resolutions and different hardware configuration. The Mi TV 4C 43-inch model comes equipped with a full-HD panel with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On the other hand, the 55-inch model sports a 4K HDR panel with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a wide colour range for your ultimate 4K viewing experience. Both the TV sets feature slim bezels and measure just 9mm. Unfortunately, the pricing details and availability of the new Mi TV 4C series for other markets have not been revealed by the company yet.
The all-new Xiaomi Mi TV 4C draws its power from a 64-bit Amlogic T962 quad-core processor paired with Mali 450 image processing unit. In terms of memory, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4C is backed up by a 1GB / 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. In terms of audio, the Mi TV 4C also supports Dolby cinematic sound technology and DTS audio for an immersive audio experience.
On the connectivity front, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4C range offers various connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi), HDMI and Bluetooth 4.2. The Mi TV 4C range also supports HDR 10 and HLG. These high dynamic range technologies improve the colour reproduction on television sets and offer more brightness. The TV panels also come with a blue light-reducing mode, that effectively reduces the amount of harmful blue light emitted from the display panels to make TV viewing experience more comfortable. The new-generation Mi Bluetooth Remote Control has been priced at CNY 99 (approximately Rs. 970), and it will be sold separately. The remote supports feature like Bluetooth, Speech Recognition, Mi Touch, and Infrared.
