Chinese electronics giant Huawei, in a collaboration with Dolby Laboratories on Tuesday, announced the launch of its first Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) set-top box, called the “Huawei Q22” that supports Dolby Vision HDR or High Dynamic Range technology. The box also supports HDR content which offers more true-to-life colours and far greater details. Unfortunately, the pricing details and availability of the Huawei Q22 IPTV set-top box have not been revealed by the company yet.
The company says that the Huawei Q22 IPTV set-top box features Dolby Vision that delivers unbelievably sharp, crisp images, more true-to-life colours, and far greater detail in both dark and bright scenes. This high dynamic range technology improves the colour reproduction on television sets and offers more brightness.
