After introducing the Elite Pro smartphone in India earlier this month, home-bred handset manufacturer Swipe Technologies on Friday announced the launch of the latest budget tablet, called the “Swipe Slate Pro” in the Indian tech market. Carried a price tag of Rs. 8,490, the new Swipe Slate Pro is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via e-commerce website Flipkart.com only in Champagne Gold colour option. The economical price of the tablet might suggest a device with weak performance, but the Swipe Slate Pro is designed to deliver an exceptional productivity experience as the digital slate comes with an array of modern and smart features including a sleek and stylish design, 10.1-inch HD display, 4G VoLTE support, and a huge 5,000mAh battery.

Technically speaking, the Swipe Slate Pro comes equipped with a 10.1-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and offers a pixel density of 160ppi. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Talking about its software fronts, the new Swipe Slate Pro runs on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Swipe Slate Pro features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. Connectivity options offered by the tablet include dual-SIM, 4G LTE with voice calling support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the Swipe Slate Pro comes packed with a powerful 5,000mAh non-removable battery that is rated to deliver a decent battery life on a single charge. Sensors on the tablet include Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor, and Proximity sensor.
