Every day comes with something weird and proves that world is a weird place. Sometimes, something so weird happens that left us in shock and we have to double check it to verify whether it is true or not. Some of these peculiar incidents have some hidden reasons but not every incident can be justified.
The same incident has recently come to the light. A 41-year-old Debra Parsons who has lost her mother back in May this year started eating her mother’s ashes. Her mother died of an obstructed airway. Before losing her mother, Parsons has lost her son and it became too much for her to bear.
Debra after her mother’s cremation did not scatter her ashes in the traditional way and kept them in a sandwich bag instead for the feeling of closeness to her mother she desired.
Debra while speaking to Mirror described the day she was missing her mother more than ever:
I OPENED THE BOX AND LICKED MY FINGERS AND JUST DIPPED THEM INTO THE POWDER. BEFORE I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING THEY WERE IN MY MOUTH AND THE CHALKY, SALTY TASTE WAS COMFORTING.
Debra added:
I FELT CONFUSED BY WHAT I HAD DONE TO BEGIN WITH BUT THE FEELING OF COMFORT AND CLOSENESS IT BROUGHT WAS THE FIRST BIT OF SOLACE I’D HAD SINCE HER DEATH.
Not only this, now Debra is planning to eat her mother’s ashes with her Christmas dinner. Debra’s fiancé has also supported her in her grief.
