She’s one of the most recognized faces on the telly after her TV host stints over the years. Dhivyadharshini, who is fondly called by her fans as DD, has reportedly filed for divorce at the Chennai Family Court.
Dhivyadarshini, who is known for hosting TV shows namely Koffee with DD and Namma Veetu Kalyanam, has been a fan favorite celebrity across Tamil Nadu for her down-to-earth personality. She also featured in Dhanush’s directorial debut, Pa. Paandi and has a starring role in Gautham Menon’s upcoming action spy thriller, Dhruva Natchathriam starring Vikram.
DD had been friends with Srikanth Ravichandran before the two entered wedlock with the approval of their parents on June 29, 2014. Apparently, the relationship between her and her in-laws has not been at the best of terms. It is believed her decision to act in films has not gone down all too well with her in-laws and this has led to problems between the couple. It is also being said the two have been living separate lives for sometime now.
In the midst of this, two have now filed for a divorce by mutual consent today at the Family Court in Chennai. As per the rules in the Constitution of India, a divorce is only applicable after six months since the date of the petition being filed. And, that too shall be only granted then if the couple decide to carry forward in the decision.
