Warner Bros’s and MGM’s video game reboot flick, Tomb Raider, starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, is on a, probable, right track to become a good hit-even if it doesn’t succeeds to become a blockbuster, due to Marvel’s ‘Black Panther impact’.
Despite making only $41.4 million so far on the domestic box-office in the US, the film has earned a commendable $170 million internationally, from the rest of the markets across the globe. Which brings its global total to around $211.7 million in two weeks of its release, so far.
Which also means that its got some more fuel inside to go beyond the mark of $300 million, worldwide and to somewhere near $70-80 million, domestically.
The Tomb Raider reboot movie, adapted straightly from 2013’s reboot game itself, has received mixed reviews and opinions from fans and critics, with some calling it not so great while others applauding Alicia Vikander as ‘the best Lara Croft’ to date!
