Google, in what seems like a Nexus-style partnership, has teamed up with LG to produce two smartwatches that are scheduled to be launched on February 9th at the same event where the next version of the wearable Android platform- Android Wear 2.0 will be launched. These two smart watches will be powered by Android 2.0, VentureBeat’s Evan Blass reported.

Blass said the two smartwatches: LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style will be available in the US from February 10 and will be subsequently rolled out to other regions through February and March.
These watches will be prominently showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress which will start on 27 February in Barcelona.
From the specifications Blass shared in his report, it transpires that Sport is the flagship device with a larger and higher resolution screen, more RAM and a bigger battery.
Both the watches will have a circular, plastic OLED touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and 4GB of internal storage.
Watch Sport will be 14.2mm thick and will have a 1.38-inch (480×480) screen, 768MB of RAMand 430mAh battery. It will be available in two colors: titanium and dark blue. And it will exclusively come with mobile connectivity (both 3G and LTE), a heart-rate sensor, GPS, and NFC.
The relatively slicker 10.8mm thick Watch Style will have a smaller screen of 1.2 inches (360×360), less RAM: 512 MB, a smaller battery of 240mAh and will be available in titanium, silver and rose gold.
Both watches will be iOS compatible and will have a crown button, like Apple watches, for navigation. Some of the other important features are Google Assistant integration and water and dust resistance. Android Wear 2.0 will come preloaded in these two and other upcoming smartwatches and will be later rolled out to select older devices as an upgrade.
