India beat England by 75 runs in the third T20 international at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru to cinch the Paytm T20 Trophy series 2-1. Only three English players managed to get into two-figure score as the English batting line-up collapsed dramatically after the dismissals of Morgan and Root.

The English batting line-up collapsed as Chahal took six wickets.

England started their innings poorly, losing Sam Billings for a duck in the second over. Joe Root walked in and built a partnership with Roy as England managed to reach 55-1 in their stipulated first six overs of powerplay. Jason Roy departed soon as he went for a big hit off Mishra. He was caught by Dhoni as the ball got the elevation but did not travel the required distance. Next man in, the England skipper Eoin Morgan sent the ball on all sides of the ground and managed a partnership of 64 runs off just 43 balls with Root. Morgan scored 40 runs off just 21 deliveries, scoring 2 fours and 3 sixes in the process. He was caught on the boundary by debutant Rishabh Pant off Yuzvendra Chahal. Root followed Morgan to the pavilion the very next delivery as he was out leg-before off Chahal.

Jos Buttler did not cause any trouble  as he was caught by Kohli on a duck off Bumrah in the next over. England fell like a house of cards after the dismissal of Morgan. From being in the hunt at 2-119 in 13 overs, England succumbed to 127 all-out within the next three overs, thereby losing by 75 runs.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the Indian bowlers, taking 6-25 in his four overs while Jasprit Bumrah and Amit Mishra went for 3-14 and 1-23 respectively.

Raina and Dhoni scored half-centuries as India managed to go beyond 200 run-mark.

Earlier in the day, India managed 202-6 in their quota of 20 overs. Batting first, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni scored half-centuries. Raina went on to hit 5 sixes in his innings of 45-ball 63 while Dhoni scored his first T20 international half-century. Yuvraj displayed flashes of his past brilliance as he hit Chris Jordan for 6,6,4,6 in the 17th over. Jordan ended the innings having conceded 56 runs in 4 overs while taking 1 wicket.

Yuzvendra Chahal was adjudged the Man of the Match and Man of the Series for his exceptional bowling in the match and his contributions throughout the series.
