Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer Acer on Tuesday expanded its gaming series of notebook portfolio with the launch of its latest ultrathin gaming notebook, dubbed as the “Acer Predator Triton 700” in the Indian tech market with a price tag of Rs. 2,99,999. To recall, the Acer Predator Triton 700 was first announced in April 2017 at the Next@Acer global press conference event in New York along with the company’s low-end Acer Predator Helios 300. Carried such an attractive price tag, the new Acer Predator Triton 700 will be made available for purchase in India via Acer Exclusive Stores and other authorized online stores across the country. The Acer Predator Triton 700 gaming machine is specially designed for professional gamers and enthusiasts, as the device comes packed with powerful processors, dedicated gaming powers, graphics, premium audio, stable connectivity, and a brilliant display.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Acer Predator Triton 700 comes equipped with a 15.6-inch full-HD Backlit IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display has a refresh rate frequency of 120Hz and offers 300-nit brightness and 170-degree viewing angles. The display also supports NVIDIA G-Sync technology that synchronizes the display’s refresh rate with NVIDIA GeForce graphics card’s frame rate for flawless visuals.

Under the hood, the machine is powered by the 2.8GHz 7th generation Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor clubbed with 16GB of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 32GB), and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card for an incredible gaming performance and detailed gaming visuals. In terms of storage, the notebook features two 512GB NVMe PCIe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. The SSD storage delivers faster data access speeds and boot-up times. Talking about its software fronts (OS), the notebook runs on a 64-bit Windows 10 Home version.

The Acer Predator Triton 700 comes with a stylish matte black chassis and aggressive air vents and company’s proprietary PredatorSense software, which allows users to control and customize a host of features such as real-time system information, cooling and overclocking. The notebook also comes with an RGB-backlit mechanical keyboard with anti-ghosting tech and Skype for Business Certification. The laptop has a Corning Gorilla Glass plate above the keyboard that serves as a window into the notebook’s cooling system and it also functions as a Precision Touchpad. The Acer Predator Triton 700 also features Dolby Atmos surround sound with company’s TrueHarmony technology that provides smooth, rich, and crystal-clear sound experience to users in music, movies, and even gaming. To counter the thermal issue, the powerful gaming machine features the company’s new AeroBlade 3D Fan with ultra-thin metal blades, which keeps the laptop cool during heavy gaming sessions by increasing 35 percent airflow (compared to the conventional fans).

The Acer Predator Triton 700 utilizes NVIDIA’s Max-Q design architecture. Max-Q designed gaming laptops support the entire GeForce gaming platform including the latest gaming technologies such as NVIDIA G-Sync display technology, VR, 4K gaming, and company’s Game Ready drivers to deliver optimal system efficiency while delivering a powerful gaming experience.

Connectivity ports on the gaming machine include two USB 3.0 ports (power-off USB charging), one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, one DisplayPort connector and a Gigabit Ethernet port for wired connection. The laptop also comes with Killer Network’s DoubleShot Pro networking for dual 4K video output and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity that gives you hyper-fast data transfer speeds up to 40 Gbps and easier device connections. A user can also connect the laptop to a secondary display using HDMI. Connectivity options offered by the laptop include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMO technology and Bluetooth 4.1. On the battery front, the Acer Predator Triton 700 comes packed with a 4-cell, 4670mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of battery life on a single charge. Dimension wise, the notebook measures 18.9mm in thickness and weighs 2.6kg.
