Warner Bros’s Annabelle: Creation has seen a big drop of around 67% in its 2nd week, but it did succeed, eventually, in going beyond $100 million, at the worldwide box-office. The prequel horror flick has also pushed the Conjuring Universe beyond $1 billion mark-finally. It’s going to take not much time, for the ‘Conjuring-verse’ to become the highest grossing horror franchise in the history. And most astonishing thing about this feat is that it took only four movies in the franchise to top the billion mark (The Conjuring, Annabelle, The Conjuring 2 and now Annabelle: Creation).
Currently, the Conjuring-verse is now the third highest grossing franchise behind Alien franchise ($1.4 billion) and Resident Evil series ($1.2 billion).
Meanwhile, the film’s director David Sandberg has kept the original Annabelle demonic doll in the guest room of his house!
He even told in a media interaction recently regarding this, “Whenever we have guests, they don’t seem to want to have her around.”
Sandberg also said that after placing the doll in a new place, there was some destruction that took place, “There were things falling from the ceiling. So that was weird.”
