If you are planning to buy an Asus-branded smartphone with stunning camera quality and excellent battery life, and you have a budget of up to 13,000, then it’s a good news for you as the Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 smartphone has received a price cut in India. Ahead of the festive season, Taiwanese PC and tablet manufacturer Asus has slashed the price of its Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL) smartphone in India by Rs. 2,000 and customers now can purchase the smartphone at just Rs. 12,999, which is much lesser than its earlier price. As a reminder, the Taiwanese vendor launched their Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) smartphone in the Indian tech market in November last year with a price tag of Rs. 17,999. A few weeks later (after its official launch), the phone also received a price cut of Rs. 3,000, bringing down the price to Rs. 14,999 and now it has received a price cut of Rs. 2,000. Carried a such an attractive price tag, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) is now already made available for purchase in India via e-commerce websites Amazon.in, Flipkart.com as well as Asus exclusive retail stores across the country in Titanium Grey, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold colour options.

Just in case you’d forgotten, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max comes equipped with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved glass protection on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is backed up by a 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a micro SD card. On the software front, the Asus ZenFone V runs company’s proprietary ZenUI 3.0 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The smartphone also sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication process.

For photography, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max houses a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, laser autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash for excellent low-light photography. On the front, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel resolution front-facing shooter with an f/2.2 aperture for making video calls and capturing selfies. The camera features on the smartphone also include Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Real Time Beautification, Panorama mode, Time Lapse effect, Selfie Mode and much more.

On the connectivity front, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 supports dual-SIM dual standby using the hybrid dual-SIM slot (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM/microSD). That means you can either use this as a dual-SIM phone without memory card option or single-SIM phone with memory card option. Apart from this, the smartphone also offers various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio port, FM Radio, and USB OTG support. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Hall sensor, Ambient light sensor, and a Fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted). The device also comes with an ICEpower enhanced mono loudspeaker and dual microphone with noise cancellation. On the battery front, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 comes packed with a high-density 4,100mAh non-removable battery that is rated to deliver up to 17.4 hours of talk time on 3G network, up to 18.8 hours of web browsing, up to 72.2 hours of music playback time, and up to 38 days of standby time. Dimensionally, the handset measures 151.4 × 76.24 × 8.3 mm and weighs around 175 grams.
