Japanese multinational imaging company Canon on Wednesday updated its all-in-one inkjet printers catalogue with the launch of two new models of PIXMA printers — PIXMA TS3170 and PIXMA E3170—in the Indian market. The new all-in-one PIXMA TS3170 and PIXMA E3170 are budget-oriented inkjet wireless printers that basically aimed at augmenting the smart printing experience of home users. The Canon PIXMA TS3170 and E3170 printers have been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 4,995 and Rs. 5,995 respectively. Both the printers are now available for purchase via company’s official retail store and all leading offline retail stores across the country. The Canon PIXMA TS3170 and E3170 printers support All-in-One (AIO) functionality (Print, Scan, Copy) and sport revamped design. The printers also support features like Wi-Fi, one-touch direct wireless connection and more.
The new all-in-one PIXMA printers come equipped with a 1.5-inch Segment LCD display with various intuitional icons that guide the user through all operation methods from wireless set-up to making multiple copies using different document sizes. The operation panel features one-touch switching to direct wireless connection and back to standard network infrastructure mode, making it easy for guests or other users without the need to disclose personal Wi-Fi passwords.
The Canon PIXMA TS3170 and E3170 printers also come with a fingerprint and a scratch-resistant glossy grid pattern on their top surfaces which is aimed at making them easy to maintain. The company claims that the PIXMA TS3170 is ideal for occasional printing and is compatible with affordable cartridge Canon PG-745s and CL-746S. On the other hand, PIXMA E3170 is best suited for everyday printing and is compatible with ink efficient cartridges PG-47 and Cl-57s which provides low-cost printing of up to 400 monochrome documents and 180 colour documents. The connectivity options offered by the printers include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a high-speed USB 2.0 port.
