Chuchel, the upcoming adventure game from Amanita Design, is coming to PC in early 2018. The trailer is oh-so-slightly mad, but it offers a good look at the upcoming game.
There’s a touch of the Rabbid to Chuchel, the game’s titular character. He or she (the trailer offers very little by way of characterisation) looks a lot like an emotive ball of hair. Your aim is to chase down a mysterious villain who has stolen Chuchel’s beloved cherry.
You do that by means of several puzzles and minigames, many of which riff off classic games like Space Invaders or Rock ‘em, Sock ‘em Robots, but many more which rely on the vivid imagination which dreamt Chuchel up in the first place. So vivid, in fact, that I honestly don’t trust myself to accurately describe them to you – the closest I can get is telling you that at one point there’ll be a sentient jelly who’s being a bit of a dick.
