Wonder Woman 2 has got some dark clouds over its future! Yes, and that’s because the lead actress, Gal Gadot aka the iconic Diana Princess, the Wonder Woman, has threatened to walk out of the much anticipated sequel! But, why? The answer is, Brett Ratner! Not understood? Okay, let me clarify the whole thing.
Recently, Brett Ratner was accused of sexual harassment charges by some women.
But who is Brett Ratner, and what’s Gal Gadot got to do with him?
Reason is simple. Actually Bret Ratner is the producer whose production company Ratpac-Dune Entertainment financed Wonder Woman film this year! And courtesy this issue, Gal Gadot has asked Warner Bros, the main Distributing Company behind Wonder Woman, to get away with Brett Ratner’s company Ratpac, because indirectly also, Ratner will be involved in the project, which Gadot doesn’t want, in any case! She has been a strong supporter of women rights and protection, which she also stated through her Instagram post:
“Bullying and sexual harassment is unacceptable! I stand by all the courageous women confronting their fears and speaking out. Together we stand. We are all united in this time of change.”
Now, it’s a big complicated scenario for Warner Bros, to either sideline Ratner and his (Ratpac) company or try to look for a new face for Wonder Woman. But observing the impact that Gadot’s Wonder Woman has made across the globe and the fact that Justice League is just a week away from release, the studio wouldn’t want any negative event for its future movies.
However, it will be safe for Warner Bros, to stick with Gadot and do away with Ratner, since its not just about a movie but about the ‘question of sexual harassment against women’ which should not be tolerated, anyhow.
