Batgirl is one the most strongest superhero characters in DC comics universe and now that it’s confirmed that Joss Whedon (The Avengers and Justice League) will remain the director for, perhaps, the most anticipated female oriented superhero movie (after Wonder Woman of course), Batgirl, its obvious to start thinking of the right choice from a whole lot of many talented actresses.
Who can be the best on-screen version of Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl?
Just recently, a new face has emerged who’s willing to, and wants to be a part of DC’s next big project. It’s Hailee Steinfeld!
Recently, during an interview with MTV International, the Edge of Seventeen actress was asked regarding the Batgirl movie that if she wants to play DC’s Barbara Gordon, on the big-screen. To which the actress answered, “Thank you!” Steinfeld said. “I’m not going to lie, that’s kind of what I was thinking. But I didn’t know what to say. I would love that.”
She said that she has always been interested to play a superhero some day in a movie, and she is willing to play a part like that, as soon as possible.
“Yes, absolutely.” She said. “Definitely on my bucket list, so, you know. New year, new me? Let’s see what happens.”
Yet to be directed by Joss Whedon, DC’s Batgirl movie has still not been given a release date.
