Soon after introducing the Honor 7X smartphone and WaterPlay waterproof tablet in China, Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor on Friday expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new mid-range smartphone, dubbed as “Honor 6C Pro” in the European market. Carried a sticker price of €179 (approximately Rs. 13,700), the Honor 6C Pro will be soon available in the European markets in Black, Gold and Blue colour options. Unfortunately, the Indian availability and pricing of the Honor 6C Pro have not been disclosed by the company yet.

Design wise, the mid-range Honor 6C Pro sports a metal unibody design along with a metal frame all around, giving it an overall premium look. The smartphone also sports onscreen navigation buttons and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, located just middle of the rear panel of the device. The volume rockers as well as the power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the device, while a 3.5mm audio socket is placed on the very top edge of the phone. The dual speaker grilles are seen at the very bottom edge of the device along with a microUSB charging port sitting in the middle.

In terms of specifications, the Honor 6C Pro flaunts a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved glass coating on top of the display. The smartphone sips its power from a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with Mali-T860MP2 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory storage, the Honor 6C Pro is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB by using a microSD card. On the software front, the device runs company’s proprietary EMUI 5.1 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

In terms of photography, the Honor 6C Pro features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, an f/2.2 aperture, and an LED flash. On the front, the handset sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera for making video calls and capturing selfies.

On the Connectivity front, the device supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid dual-SIM slot (Nano + Nano / MicroSD). Connectivity options offered by the Honor 6C Pro also include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v4.1, and a microUSB port for charging and other connectivity. On the battery front, the Honor 6C Pro is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Fingerprint (rear-mounted) sensor, and Proximity sensor. Dimensionally, the handset measures 147.9 x 73.2 x 7.65mm and weighs 145 grams.
