Huawei’s sub-brand Honor on Thursday announced its newest wearable, the “Honor Band 3” fitness tracker at an event in New Delhi, India. At the same event the brand also launched its latest premium smartphone, “Honor 8 Pro” in the country. Though the company has made no official announcements about the pricing details of the Honor Band 3 fitness tracker, but it has confirmed that the new water resistance fitness tracker will be exclusively sold on e-commerce website Amazon.in sometime later of this month in Classic Navy Blue, Dynamic Orange, and Carbon Black colour options. The Honor Band 3 was first launched in China before making its global debut at the Honor 9 launch event in Berlin. The Honor Band 3 had been launched globally with a price tag of $60 (approximately Rs. 3,900). In the Indian tech market, the new Honor band 3 will likely to be priced somewhere in between the Rs 3,000 and Rs 3,500.

Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of Honor Band 3

Similar to other wearable fitness tracker bands, the Honor Band 3 comes with fitness tracker support, running, walking, steps, cycling and sleep data facility, which shows calories consumed and physical activities. The fitness tracker sports a 0.91-inch (128 x 32 Pixels) vertical PMOLED display that allows the users to get useful information like notifications for phone calls, SMS, physical activity related information and the amount of calories consumed. The Honor Band 3 comes with a 16mm wide, thermoplastic polyurethane strap which is comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.

The Honor Band 3 features a heart rate sensor that can detect your heart rate continuously. Apart from these features, it also comes loaded with an infrared sensor, pedometer, and a 3-axis accelerometer that offers various types of activities including sleep schedule patterns, running, walking, steps, calories, distance and even bicycle rides along with the added benefit of showing real-time data for running and other physical activities.

Compatible with both Android (Android 4.4 or higher) and iOS platform (iOS 8 or later), the Honor Band 3 makes it possible to synchronise data with a smartphone when paired with Bluetooth connection. The Honor Band 3 is a water-resistant device as it comes with 5 ATM water resistance capability, which means users can easily take the fitness tracker to a depth of up to 50 meters under water. Talking about its power, the wearable packs a 105mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 30 days on a single charge. Dimensionally, the new Honor Band 3 fitness tracker measures 10.3 x 43 x 16.5mm and weighs just 18 grams.
