Home-grown consumer electronics company iBall has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of an affordable convertible laptop, dubbed as the “iBall Slide PenBook” in the Indian tech market. The iBall Slide PenBook is the company’s first 2-in-1 convertible laptop to feature Windows 10 with support for Windows Ink, Cortana, as well as Window Hello features. The laptop sports a light aluminum alloy design and comes bundled with a digital pen that allows you to write on the screen using Windows Ink. Carried a price tag of Rs. 24,999, the new iBall Slide PenBook is now already made available for purchase in India via e-commerce website Amazon.in as well as all leading offline retail stores across the country in Ocean Blue colour option. The main highlights of the iBall Slide PenBook convertible laptop are its 10.1-inch WXGA touchscreen display, metal design, Windows 10 OS, and a fingerprint sensor for one-touch login with Windows Hello.

iBall Slide PenBook Specifications and Features:

In terms of specifications, the iBall Slide PenBook comes equipped with a 10.1-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and 10-point multi-touch support. The laptop sports a light aluminium alloy design, making it more portable and flexible. The iBall Slide PenBook has a detachable display that allows users to use their notebook in a variety of different positions. The laptop can be used as a lightweight tablet or a traditional laptop. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by a 1.44 GHz Intel x5-Z8350 quad-core processor (with Turbo Boost technology up to 1.92GHz), which comes paired with Intel HD Graphics for flawless visuals. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card slot.

Ports on the notebook include two USB 2.0 ports (on keyboard unit), one USB Type-C port (on tablet unit), one micro HDMI port, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Connectivity options offered by the iBall Slide PenBook include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band) and Bluetooth 4.0. Talking about its software front (OS), the laptop runs on a full version of Windows 10 operating system out-of-the-box. The 2-in-1 convertible also sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with full-HD (1080p) video recording support and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for making video calls.

Apart from this, the notebook also features a built-in fingerprint sensor for instant Windows Hello authentication process and supports Cortana voice assistant with far-field voice-recognition technology, which can recognise voice commands even in sleep mode. Other notable features on the device include dual stereo speakers, a full-sized keyboard and trackpad as well. On the battery front, the iBall Slide PenBook comes packed with a 6,000mAh Li-Polymer battery with rapid charging technology support. Dimensionally, the laptop measures 250.8 x 180.3 x 20 mm and weighs around 603 grams.
