It’s the first day of September and the race towards Diwali has begun already. For a while, Vijay’s Mersal was gearing up to be the only film that would hit screens on the big day in October. However, new contenders emerged shortly after in the form of filmmaker Suseenthiran’s Nenjil Thunivirunthal, Arjun’s directorial Sollividava and the adult comedy Hara Hara Mahadevaki starring Gautham Karthik and Nikki Galrani.
It must be noted that Karthi’s cop thriller Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru as well as the black comedy Gulebakavali starring Prabhudeva and Hansika are also being talked about quite a lot to come out on Diwali.
In the midst of this, one competitor has now backed out of the Diwali race. It has just been confirmed officially that Hara Hara Mahadevaki will not be releasing out on the said date and has instead been preponed to hit screens by three weeks’ time on September 29, 2017 ahead of the Pooja holidays.
Whether the makers of HHMD thought it would be better not to clash with the likes of Vijay’s Mersal remains unknown, but the film will still face big competition towards the end of this month against films namely A. R. Murugadoss’s Spyder starring Mahesh Babu, Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah along with Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara’s Velaikkaran and, G. V. Prakash’s Sema are all set to come out in the same time.
To Hara Hara Mahadevaki‘s advantage, fans have given a double thumbs up so far for the film’s teaser and trailer and, the makers will no doubt be counting the approval of the masses when the film comes out.
