After launching the Aqua Power IV smartphone in India last month, Home-bred handset manufacturer Intex Technologies on Tuesday expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new budget-oriented smartphone, christened as the “Intex Aqua Style III” in the India tech market. Priced at Rs. 4,299, the new Intex Aqua Style III is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via e-commerce website Amazon India in Black and Champagne colour options. The Intex Aqua Style III is a new member of company’s popular Aqua series that we have seen the recently launched Aqua Power IV with 4G voLTE support and now the Aqua Style III can be considered as a toned-down version of the Intex Aqua Power IV.

Technically speaking, the Intex Aqua Style III flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA TN display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832A quad-core processor coupled with Mali-400 image processing unit to handle the graphic contents. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software (OS), the Intex Aqua Style III runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
For photography, the Intex Aqua Style III features a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a single LED Flash. On the front, the smartphone houses an another 5-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls.
In terms of connectivity, the Intex Aqua Style III supports dual-SIM dual standby, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and other connectivity. On the battery front, the Intex Aqua Style III comes packed with a decent 2,500mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor and Proximity sensor. Dimensionally, the handset measures 146.3 x 73.3 x 9.5 mm and weighs 164 grams.
