Domestic handset manufacturer Intex Technologies on Thursday updated its budget smartphone catalog by announcing the launch of Intex ELYT e7 smartphone in India. Despite a budget-oriented smartphone, the Intex ELYT e7 supports 4G VoLTE, Fingerprint sensor, and Android 7.0 Nougat. Priced at Rs. 7,999, the new Intex ELYT e7 will compete against the Micromax Evok Power, Yu Yureka Black, Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Moto G4 Play in the Indian smartphone market. The smartphone is now available for purchase exclusively via e-commerce website Amazon in Gold colour option.

Intex ELYT e7 Design:
In terms of design, Intex ELYT e7 sports a sleek metal unibody design with thin bezels giving it an overall simple look. The new smartphone also features three capacitive navigation buttons and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed on the rear panel of the device. The volume rockers and the power/lock buttons are placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphone and the speaker grilles are seen at the back side of the device. The rear panel houses a 13MP rear camera setup with a LED flash module, while the top front panel features a 5MP selfie camera, sensors, and an earpiece.

In terms of specifications, the Intex ELYT e7 sports a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass coating on top. The phone is powered by a 64-bit 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737V quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Intex ELYT e7 is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a micro SD card. Talking about its software front, the Intex ELYT e7 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. Android 7.0 Nougat introduces notable changes to the OS (operating system) and its development platform. So all the latest features of the OS are present in the device such as split-screen multitasking, “Doze” power-saving mode, etc.
In terms of optics, Intex ELYT e7 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and single LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera for capturing selfies and making video call.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM Intex ELYT e7 smartphone offers various connectivity options including 4G with voLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, USB OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB v2.0 for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include an Ambient Light sensor, Proximity, Gyroscope and Fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted). The Intex ELYT e7 comes packed with a decent 4,020mAh battery, which claims to deliver up to 15-16 hours of talktime and up to 15 days of standby time. Apart from these specifications, the device also comes preloaded with Matrabhasha service that enables communication in 21 regional languages.
