After launching the K8 Note killer smartphone in India, now it seems like the Chinese PC and tablet manufacturer Lenovo is all set to launch its next powerful smartphone, called the “Lenovo K8 Plus” in the Indian market pretty soon. The Chinese vendor has already started teasing the K8 Plus smartphone on its social media channels including Twitter and Facebook. Lenovo India on Tuesday shared a GIF teaser image about the Lenovo’s next powerful smartphone launch event on its official Twitter account. The Tweet reads, “Do you look at your smartphone and always #KraveForMore? It’s time to end that with the new and powerful #LenovoK8Plus. Coming soon!”

The recent teaser image shared by the company shows a dedicated media play/pause button on the left-edge of the smartphone, which we have seen on the recently launched Lenovo K8 Note. The presence of media play/pause button indicates that the upcoming Lenovo smartphone will feature Dolby Audio.
On the other hand, domestic e-commerce website Flipkart.com on Wednesday announced its partnership with Lenovo, confirming that their e-commerce platform will be the exclusive retail partner for the upcoming Lenovo K8 Plus in the country. Furthermore, Flipkart also confirmed that the Chinese tech giant will unveil the Lenovo K8 Plus smartphone in India on September 6. The Lenovo K8 Plus will feature dual rear camera setup with Bokeh mode and will run stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, similar to the K8 Note.
Recently, the Lenovo K8 Plus was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website, which does reveal a gist of specifications and features about the upcoming powerful smartphone. In the benchmark test, the Lenovo K8 Plus scored 861 points in single-core test and got 3,761 points in multi-core test. As per Geekbench benchmark listing, the device will be powered by a 1.69GHz MediaTek Helio P20 8-core processor paired with 3GB RAM. On the software front, the Lenovo K8 Plus will run on Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box with company’s own custom UI skin. Apart from this, we don’t have any other information about the smartphone but we will update you pretty soon when we know more.
