In the year 2016, amazing movies came out which hit the theaters just like thunder. Commercial Films made a big this year; movies like Kabali, Theri, Rajni Murugan, Kodi, Remo, etc, earned quite a lot as renowned Actors were casted in them. Whereas low budget movies like Pichakaran, Uriyadi strike the right chords at the Box Office and these made them approve by the audience as well as the critics.

So far the Tamil Industry has been innovative and has come up with extraordinary scripts and amazing cast which have made up to the mark. So this year 2017 they are not less either and have come up with various genres of movies with varied content in everyone one of them.

So Let’s Checkout the 9 movies which everyone is dying out to watch.

1. Shankar’s 2.0

This movie is kind of sequel to the movie Enthiran, which was a blockbuster.  Just like the previous movie this movie also has big names involve like the Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay Kumar. The interesting combination has created quite a buzz amongst the Movie Buffs.  This Science Fiction is supposed to be released in the mid of 2017. And it seems to be the only movie which is possible competitor with the movie Bhaubhali.

2.Bahubali 2

Bahubali’s back with a bang and the only question everyone wants an answer to is Why Kattappa killed Bahubali !!!

Director SS Rajamouli has become a famous name in the film industry not just in the south but all over India. The film was surely a big budgeted movie but and broke all the records as well. It has been a bang in the box office.  It has given many of the big budgeted movies aspiration to fight harder with not just their scripts but also with much better visual graphics.

The movie is set to go to the floor by April.

 

3.Vijay-Atlee film

Theri, Starring illayathalapathiy Vijay was a blockbuster in the cinemas. The amazing combination of Atlee and Vijay is back again with a new story. Surprisingly, the beautiful Jyotika will back in the screen with Vijay after 14 years.  The movies also said to have Vadivelu and S J Suryah. The interesting part will be the addition of Madras Mozart AR Rahman music in it.

4.VIP 2

Velai Illa Pattadhari was a movie which every struggling Engineer related to. So obviously it was loved by the audience in the year 2014. So when the rumors started surfacing about a sequel it created quite a buzz amongst all Dhanush Fans. Supposedly Soundarya Rajinikanth will be directing the movie.  Instead of Anirudh , Sean Roldan will be composing the music. The real bang was when Bollywood actress Kajol was roped for the female lead in the movie. She is back in the tamil  industry after 2 decades.

5.Kaatru Veliyidai

An unusual pairing of Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari will be seen in the next romantic movie of Mani Ratnam.  The movie is shot in Kashmir and Ooty. It also has the actress Shraddha Srinath from the Kannada film industry. Karthi surely looks very younger in this movie.  And you can easily guess the music director, none other than AR Rehman, it’s just obvious!!!

 

6.Vada Chennai

Vetri Maaran began working on this script for almost 6 years ago. But things didn’t work out then as director Visaaranai was quite busy.  And finally the movie is in the making; currently being shot in North Chennai. Amala Paul has been signed as the female lead when Samantha backed out of the Film.

7.Ajith-Siva film

No films of Ajith were released in the year of 2016. And it was a big disappointment to all Ajith fans. Thala seems to release a movie by end of the year posiibly by Deepavali just like the movie Vedalam was released. A 30 sec video was released recently by the team about the movie. The movie is directed by Siva who has earlier paired with Ajith in Veeram and Vedalam. The movie is rumored to be named as Thala 57.

 

8.Sivakarthikeyan-Mohan Raja film

Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara will be seen first time romancing each other in Mohan Raja’s next movie. The movie has a amazing star cast including Prakash Raj and also Sneha who will be seen on the big screen after a long time. Fahadh Faasil will be seen as the villain in this action thriller. The film will be about social issues just like the previous movie Thani Oruvan, and the Rajni Murugan actor will be seen in a different getup. The movie is supposed to go on floor by November.

 

9.Nenjam Marapathillai

The actor-director SJ Suryah is quite in a demand after his impressive performance in Iraivi. The teaser of the film quite created a buzz and yes it has reached upto our xpectations. The dialogue of the movie went viral in the social media. Suryah and Selvarghavan have teamed in the movie and obviously it gonna be amazing. Also the music is composed by Yuvan-Selva .
