Home-grown consumer electronics company Lava on Wednesday updated its Helium series of notebooks catalogue with the launch of a budget-oriented notebook, dubbed as the “Helium 12” in the Indian tech market. Lava Helium 12 is the company’s second offering to come with Windows 10 Home edition, after the Helium 14 notebook. The company has launched their Helium 12 laptop in the Indian market in a partnership with Microsoft and Intel. Carried a price tag of Rs. 12,999, the new Lava Helium 12 laptop will be soon available in India via all major e-commerce websites as well as all leading multi-brand outlets across 14 Indian cities in Silver and Gold colour variants. The new Lava Helium 12 notebook is specially designed with keeping needs of the entry-level executives, as the notebook comes with a powerful Intel Quad-core processor, high-density battery and a sleek lightweight design.

Lava Helium 12 Specifications and Features:

The Lava Helium 12 comes equipped with a 12.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and has a 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by a 1.88GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8350 quad-core processor, which comes coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. You can also extend its internal storage with a 1TB external HDD. The laptop also features a VGA webcam for video chats. Talking about its software front (OS), the Lava Helium 12 runs on Windows 10 Home edition and comes with Microsoft’s digital assistant Cortana.

Connectivity ports on the notebook include one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. In terms of connectivity, the Lava Helium 12 offers various connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.0. On the battery front, the Lava Helium 12 comes packed with a high-density 10,000mAh lithium-ion polymer battery that is rated to deliver “a full day computing”. Dimensionally, the notebook measures just 20 mm thin and weighs only 1.3 Kg.
