After launching the iconic 3310 feature phone in India, HMD Global is now all set to launch its most awaited and talked Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 mid-range smartphones in the Indian tech market on June 13 (Tuesday). Earlier this month, we had reported that the Nokia mid-range smartphones will be making their debut on the Indian tech market as HMD Global sent out press invites for a Nokia event on June 13, but there was no clear information about the event. Now it seems that the company is all set to introduce its Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 Android smartphones in India as the company has again started sending out the media invites for its upcoming mid-range smartphones launch event, which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 12:00 PM IST in New Delhi, India. HMD Global is a Finnish start-up company, which has the official permit to manufacture, distribute and sell Nokia-branded smartphones worldwide.
The media invite shows an image of company logos, scheduled launch date and a bold line “Save the Date.” The invite further reads “Let’s join hands and welcome the new era of Nokia Smartphones.” Although HMD Global invite doesn’t mention any specific name of the upcoming Nokia mid-range smartphones or which specific smartphone will launch at the event, it is likely to be the Nokia’s most anticipated mid-range Android smartphones.
Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 specifications:
In terms of specification, Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS 2.5D design display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a fingerprint sensor below the display. It also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology. The Nokia 6 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card support up to 128GB. The phone packs a 3000mAh battery. The Nokia 6 has a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. Nokia 6 sports a metal unibody design with a glossy black body.
Nokia 5 comes with a 5.2-inch HD screen and features a fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its camera, Nokia 5 has a 13-megapixel sensor on the back and 8-megapixel sensor on the front. Other features of the smartphone include Micro-USB 2.0, 4G LTE support, NFC and 3000mAh battery.
Nokia 3 has a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK 6737 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back, Micro-USB 2.0, NFC and a 2650mAh battery. The Nokia 3 sports a plastic body with a polycarbonate back cover. The Nokia 3 comes in four attractive body colour options including Silver White, Copper White, Matte Black, and Tempered Blue.
On the software fronts, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 smartphones are all powered by the Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and have stock Android UI. Nokia has promised that the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 smartphones will all be receiving the latest Android O version at some point.
