ZTE sub-brand Nubia on Monday updated its entry-level smartphone portfolio with the launch of Nubia N1 Lite in India. Priced at Rs 6,999, the new smartphone will be made available for purchase exclusively on e-commerce website Amazon.in starting May 22, 2017, at 12:00pm IST in a black gold colour variant. The key highlights of the Nubia N1 Lite are soft-light front flash, a 3000mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner which the company claims, it can unlock the smartphone within 0.3 seconds.
Commenting on the launch, Eric Hu, Country Head, Nubia India says in a statement, “Nubia is committed to offer best in class technology across all price points to its customers in India. We are known for our camera technology across the globe and with N1 Lite we are offering category first front soft light flash and fingerprint scanner. The N1 Lite is dependable, tough, good looking and has performance power to be called an ideal companion.”
In terms of design, the Nubia N1 lite sports a metal sleek design with metal edges. The volume rockers as well as the power/lock buttons are placed on the right-hand edge of the device and a 3.5mm headphone port is placed on the very top of the phone and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, located just below the rear camera. The speaker grille is seen at the back side of the device, while the microUSB charging port is housed on the middle bottom edge of the device.

In terms of specifications, the Nubia N1 Lite sports a 5.5-inch a-Si (amorphous silicon) semi-HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels and has a pixel density of 267ppi. The display is covered with a 2.5D curved glass protection. The device is powered by a 64-bit 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad core (Cortex A53 x 4) processor coupled with 550MHz ARM Mali-T720 GPU to handle graphics. The smartphone comes with a 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the dual-SIM Nubia N1 lite runs Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of photography, the new Nubia N1 Lite smartphone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, auto focus, 4P optical Lens. On the front of the device, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with an f/2.8 aperture and soft-light flash for brighter selfies and video calling.The front camera features also include 84-degree wide angle of view, 3-piece lens and Beauty filter.
In terms of connectivity, this dual-SIM smartphone offers various connectivity options including 4G voLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, a 3.5mm Audio port, and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient Light sensor, Digital Compass sensor. The Nubia N1 Lite comes packed with a powerful 3000mAh Li-polymer non-removable battery that is rated to deliver up to 24 hours of talk time and close to 500 hours of standby time. The handset measures at 153 x 77.5 x 8.4 mm and weighs 171 grams.
