South Korean tech giant Samsung had announced its premium Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphone (6GB RAM & 128GB ROM) in the Indian tech market in June this year with a price tag of Rs. Rs 74,990. Just one month after launch, the South Korean company has now declared a price cut for its Galaxy S8 Plus variant by Rs. 4,000. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant is now available in India at a price tag of Rs. 70,900, which is much lesser than its earlier price (Rs 74,900). The Samsung Galaxy S8+ is now already available for purchase through Samsung’s official online store, domestic e-commerce website Flipkart.com as well as all-leading offline retail stores across the country in Midnight Black colour option. It was earlier reported that the premium Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant got a price cut in India and will be retailing at a discounted price tag of Rs. 70,900, but there was no official information about its price cut. But now this is official, so without taking any contradictions in mind, just make this premium smartphone yourself. The price cut news has been announced by an established Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer, Mahesh Telecom.
Apart from the price slash, Samsung also provides some exciting offers on the purchase of Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant from the online platforms. Those customers, who purchase a Galaxy S8+ high-end variant, they will get a wireless charger for free worth Rs. 4,499. In addition, Samsung online shop is offering a Rs. 3,000 cash back to HDFC Bank credit card holders. On Flipkart, the phone comes bundled with a Reliance Jio double data benefit offering 28GB+28GB at Rs 309.

Just in case you’d forgotten, the Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440×2960 pixels and 529ppi of pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ houses a dual-edge curved Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, IP68 dust and water resistant technology. The display is certified by the UHD Alliance as Mobile HDR Premium. The Indian variant of the Galaxy S8+ comes with a 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-Core processor that bears a quad-core unit clocked at 2.35GHz and another quad-core unit clocked at 1.9GHz. In terms of memory, the smartphone is backed up by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Talking about its software fronts, the device runs on Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI, based on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy S8+ houses a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology, optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with smart autofocus and an f/1.7 aperture. The Galaxy S8+ is fuelled by a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support as well as wireless charging. The company claims that the battery is rated to deliver up to 24 hrs of talk time, up to 18 hrs of video playback, and up to 15 hrs of internet browsing. Apart from these specs, the smartphone also features a dedicated button for the company’s Bixby personal AI assistant. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ measures 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm and weighs 173 grams.
