Rian Johnson’s debatable, plus blockbuster movie, Star Wars: The Last Jedi may be called an under-performer on the box-office, but still, its running successfully. Though, the speed of earnings is a bit slower, the movie has already recovered its production cost by a huge margin.

The Last Jedi has now gone past $844 million on the worldwide box-office!

Domestically, the movie has been a strong force for Disney, its distributing studio, and has collected an impressive $423 million in 12 days of its theatrical run in the domestic theaters of U.S.

The grosses are somehow very less in comparison to 2015’s monstrous hit, The Force Awakens, which had made a massive $600 million, domestically in just 12 days and over $1.288 billion, globally!

And considering the current figures of The Last Jedi, some trade analysts are saying that it won’t be any match to its predecessor, The Force Awakens and may just end up at or around $1.5-1.6 billion, overall.

Still, the film has got a big audience who is going to watch the movie, despite a huge backlash from many moviegoers and Star Wars fans who are disappointed by the film’s portrayal of some main characters, by director Rian Johnson.

Well, it will be very crucial how much amount the movie can garner at the end of 2017 and after that too.

At the moment, The Last Jedi has already become the 2nd highest grossing movie of 2017 after Disney’s own Beauty and the Beast, released earlier this year. The Last Jedi beat DC’s Wonder Woman’s worldwide collection of around $822 million, which has now dropped to number 3 spot on global box-office list of 2017.
