In the Indian telecom industry, the revolutionary entry of Reliance Jio has created a new storm and changed the entire telecom scenario with its highly affordable tariff plans and forced the other telecom giants to reduce their data and calling rates. To counter Reliance Jio’s tariff plans, other leading telecom operators like Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular have already refreshed their tariff and first recharge plans by launching affordable data and voice-centric recharge plans in the Indian market. They have been trying really hard to establish new market strategies and come up with aggressive plans to compete against the Reliance Jio.
India’s second largest telecom operator, Vodafone India has just announced the launch of its four new tariff plans for the residents of West Bengal, who wish to join the Vodafone’s network via Mobile Number Portability (MNP) facility. These new recharge plans include two voice and data-centric plans (Rs. 493 and Rs. 299) and two data-centric plans (Rs. 49 and Rs. 96). The new Rs. 493 and Rs. 299 plans offer its West Bengal subscribers unlimited voice calls and 84GB superfast data for 84 days. On the other hand, the Rs. 49 and Rs. 96 plans offer only 1GB and 2GB superfast data respectively. Note that, these mouth-watering plans are applicable for MNP customers only, who are planning to convert their number from another operator to Vodafone. To grab this offer, you have to create a Unique Porting Code (UPC) by sending an SMS as PORT to 1900. After that, you will receive an SMS with Unique Porting Code, which you have to submit at the same time of applying for a new SIM card.
