A highly anticipated film, Vijay’s upcoming Thalapathy 61 has been announced for a Diwali release with the first look to be unveiled on the star’s birthday followed by the audio launch in August.
Vijay 61 being directed by Atlee under the Thenandal Studios Limited banner has a musical score by A. R. Rahman and an ensemble cast featuring Nithya Menen, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female leads followed by SJ Suryah as the antagonist and Sathyaraj, Vadivelu and Sathyan in supporting roles.
That said, latest reports now state filming on Thalapathy 61 will come to an end much earlier than initially believed. It is said production will wrap up likely by the end of July after which the team will carry forward the post-production works in a full-fledged manner.
It must be noted that the Vijay 61 team completed their previous schedules much earlier than they had planned and this just shows how quick and hard working the entire unit is at their respective roles.
As of now, the team is a on a short break and will begin their next schedule in the coming days in Chennai with Samantha joining the sets as the romantic interest of the third character being played by Vijay.
It must be noted that the ‘Ilayathalapathy’ is playing triple roles for the first time in his career and will be seen as a village leader, a doctor and a magician.
