The country’s #1 smartphone selling brand, Xiaomi (in the mid-rane section), had just recently launched its new flagship 8 series, in China, under which it released three models namely, Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE. Out of the three phones released, the latter one, i.e, Mi 8 SE gained more buzz and thanks to which, it may now well be launched in India too, and that too very soon-certainly next month!
But the Mi 8 SE will be launched in India by Xiaomi with a different name (as they always do), and in the country it will be known as Mi 8i.
The Mi 8 SE was launched in China with a price of RMB 1,700 which, when being compared to Indian Rupees, translates to about Rs.19,000. So, it means that Mi 8 SE (Mi 8i) will be available in the range of Rs.18,000-20,000 in India.
Talking about the phone itself, which will surely woo the high-end customers who want flagship experience (going beyond the range of Rs.15,000), then the Mi 8i comes with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC under the hood, which has been combined with a 4GB or a 6GB of RAM (since there are two variants of the model). It sports a 5.88inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2244x1080p.
And, coming towards the most important aspect that is the camera, then, it has a dual-camera setup on the rear, with 12MP+5MP lenses, while the front has a 20MP lens. On both sides, the cameras support the AI features like scene recognition abilities, beauty feature, and depth of field effect for front selfie.
