Soon after launching the Axon M foldable smartphone and Blade Force in the US market, Shenzhen-based handset maker ZTE on Saturday expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new budget-oriented smartphone, called the “ZTE Blade X” in the US tech market. Carried a price tag of Rs. $119.99 (approximately Rs. 7,800), the new ZTE Blade X is now already made available for purchase in the US exclusively via US mobile carrier Cricket Wireless in Castle Black colour option. Sadly, the pricing details and availability of the ZTE Blade X for other markets have not been revealed by the company yet. The key highlights of the smartphone are its 5.5-inch HD display, 13-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint reader and heart rate monitor, a powerful 3,000mAh battery with power saving mode and Dolby Audio technology support for an immersive audio experience.

ZTE Blade X specifications and features: –

In terms of specifications, the ZTE Blade X comes equipped with a large 5.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels and a scratch resistance Dragontrail glass protection on top of the display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, which comes clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. On the software front, the ZTE Blade X runs on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out of the box. For high-grade security, the smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint recognition button that is housed on the rear panel of the device.

In terms of optics, the ZTE Blade X sports a 13-megapixel rear camera setup with autofocus and LED flash. On the front side, the handset features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. The rear camera is also capable of shooting full-HD videos in 1080p resolution. Talking about its multimedia department, the ZTE Blade X features Dolby Audio technology that provides a rich, clear, and premium surrounds sound experience to the user while listening to music, watching videos and playing games on the device.

In terms of connectivity, the ZTE Blade X offers various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm Audio port, and a USB Type-C port for superfast charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the smartphone is backed up by a 3,000mAh battery that is rated to a deliver up to 23.1 hours of talk time and up to 31 days of standby time on a single charge. The 3,000mAh capacity battery also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology for fast charging. As we mentioned above, the ZTE Blade X also features a fingerprint sensor at the backside of the handset for biometric security as well as a heart rate monitor for health monitoring. Dimensionally, the handset measures at 155.9 x 77.47 x 8.89 mm.
