Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer Acer on Monday expanded its gaming series notebook portfolio with the launch of a new gaming notebook, called the “Nitro 5 Spin” in the Indian tech market with a starting price of Rs. 79,990. The starting model of the Nitro 5 Spin comes with a price tag of Rs. 79,990 and goes all the way up to Rs. 94,990. Carried such an attractive price tag, the new Acer Nitro 5 Spin will be made available for purchase in India starting today exclusively via e-commerce website and all Acer Stores across the country in matte black colour option. The Nitro 5 Spin gaming machine is specially designed for casual gamers and enthusiasts, as it comes packed with powerful processors, dedicated gaming powers, graphics, premium audio, stable connectivity, and a brilliant display.

The Acer Nitro 5 Spin sports an all-aluminium chassis, which comes with a black brushed hairline finish with red accents, giving it an overall stunning outlook. The latest gaming laptop features a bright Red Backlit keyboard, WASD keys and a smooth Multi-Gesture touchpad, which is also outlined in red. The key highlight of the Acer Nitro 5 Spin is its 360-degree hinge, that allows users to use their notebook in a variety of different positions. The laptop can be used as a tablet, a traditional laptop, positioned as a tent or propped up like a stand. For the biometric authentication process, the laptop features a fingerprint reader built into the trackpad.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Acer Nitro 5 Spin comes equipped with a 15.6-inch full-HD Backlit IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. To prevent eye fatigue, the display also features company’s proprietary BluelightShield technology that effectively reduces the amount of harmful light emitted from the LED display panels to make reading comfortable. Apart from this, the full-HD display also supports company’s Color Intelligence technology that adjusts gamma and saturation in real-time, optimizing screen colour, brightness and saturation.

Under the hood, the machine is powered by the 8th generation Intel Core i5 (Intel Core i5 8250U) or 8th generation Intel Core i7 (Intel Core i7 8550U) clubbed with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card for ultra-smooth and flawless visuals. The company claims that the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU is suitable for playing modern games like Dota 2, Overwatch, and League of Legends. In terms of storage, the laptop is backed up by a 1TB 5400 RPM HDD. The machine can be further configured with up to 256GB of SSD storage for faster data access speeds and boot-up times. Talking about its software fronts (OS), the Acer Nitro 5 Spin runs on a 64-bit Windows 10 Home version.

Ports on the device include one USB 3.1 Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, one HDMI 2.0 port, one 3.5 combo Audio Jack port, and one 2-in-1 Card Reader slot (SD, SDXC). The connectivity options offered by the laptop include 802.11 ac (2×2 MIMO) technology and Bluetooth 4.1. The laptop features Acer’s omnidirectional ExoAmp Antenna that optimizes the antenna position for a stable and strong wireless signal. Talking about its multimedia department, the Acer Nitro 5 Spin gaming laptop features one Sub-woofer and two front-facing speakers with Dolby Audio Premium and company’s TrueHarmony technology support that provides smooth, rich, and crystal-clear sound experience to users in music, movies, voice, and even gaming. The laptop features an HD webcam that offers a wide-angle field of view for making video calls.

On the battery front, the Acer Nitro 5 Spin comes packed with a powerful 48Wh 3220mAh, 4-cell lithium-ion Polymer battery that is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. Note that, battery life may vary depending on the workload, usage type and environmental conditions. Dimensionally, the Acer Nitro 5 Spin measures 381.5 x 258.1 x 17.9 mm and weighs 2.2 kg.
