State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Wednesday launched three new recharge plans for the residents of Punjab and Gujarat. These new recharge plans include one special tariff voucher (STV) plan (Rs. 258) and two combo vouchers (Rs. 378, and Rs. 548). The new Rs. 258, Rs. 378, and Rs. 548 plans offer its Punjab and Gujarat subscribers unlimited on-net voice calls and up to 5G data per day for 90 days. The new Rs. 378 combo plan comes bundled with mobile data as well as unlimited on-net voice calling benefits. Sadly, the Rs. 548 plan doesn’t offer any voice calling benefits.
Starting with the BSNL Rs. 258 STV (special tariff voucher) plan, this STV plan offers its subscribers a main talk time balance of Rs. 220 for 30 days on a recharge of just Rs. 258. There are no data benefits with this recharge pack, but customers will get 110 free on-net voice calls for a period of 30 days.
Moving on to the BSNL Rs. 378 combo voucher plan, this plan offers its subscribers unlimited on-net calls and 30 minutes of off-net calls per day for a period of 30 days. Apart from this, the plan also offers 4GB internet data per day with FUP limit for a period of 30 days. After FUP limit, the internet speed will be decreased to 80 Kbps.
Finally, the BSNL Rs. 548 combo voucher plan, the Rs. 548 combo plan provides 5GB data per day with FUP limit for a period of 90 days. After FUP limit, the internet speed will be decreased to 80 Kbps. Unfortunately, the Rs. 548 plan doesn’t offer any voice calling benefits.
Notably, the price & benefits of the new BSNL Rs. 258, Rs. 378, and Rs. 548 plans will be varied depending on telecom circle. In that case, the Gujarat BSNL customers have to pay Re 1 extra for the Rs. 258 and Rs. 378 plans, while these plans will be carried the same price tag for Punjab BSNL customers. On the other hand, the BSNL Rs. 548 combo plan offers its Gujarat subscribers 5GB data per day, while BSNL Punjab customers recharging with Rs. 548, will get only 4GB data per day. All these new recharge plans offer same validity period in the said circles.
The Rs. 548 combo plan is a follow up to company’s previously launched “STV-666 plan”, STV 444 plan aka “BSNL Chaukka-444” and “Triple ACE-333” plan, which the telecom operator claims it got a ‘successful response’. Under this voice and data centric offer, customers recharging with Rs. 666 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 2GB of 2G or 3G (depending on the circle) mobile data for a period of 60 days. After 60 days the customer can also switch to BSNL’s other existing plans like “BSNL Chauka-444”, “Triple Ace-333” or “Dil khol k Bol-349”. BSNL’s Triple Ace 333 plan offers unlimited 3G data for two months (recently revised) with a FUP limit of 3GB per day, that means customers recharging with Rs. 333 can avail a total of 168GB 3G data for 56 days.
