After a series of many leaks and revelations, the Chinese smartphone company Oppo on Monday announced its new flagship smartphone, dubbed as “the Oppo R11” in China. The new R11 smartphone is currently now listed on the company’s official China website for immediate booking. The pricing details of the Oppo R11 has not been revealed by the company yet but the earlier rumours have indicated that the Oppo R11 will be carried a price tag of $485 (approximately Rs. 31,200). The new Oppo R11 will be made available for purchase in China starting June 10 (Saturday) in three different body colour variants– Gold, Rose Gold and Black. The key highlights of the Oppo R11 are its 20-megapixel front-facing camera, the 20MP + 16MP dual rear-facing shooters and the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

In terms of design, the Oppo R11 sports a sleek metal unibody design with a metal frame all around giving it an overall premium look. The new Oppo R11 also feature capacitive navigation buttons and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed underneath the Home Button of the device. The volume rockers are placed on the left-hand edge, while the power/lock button is situated on the right-hand edge of the smartphone. A 3.5mm audio socket and the speaker grilles are seen at the bottom edge of the handset along with a USB Type-C port sitting in the middle.

Oppo R11 specifications:

As per listing, Oppo R11 smartphone sports a 5.5 inch AMOLED Full-HD 2.5D curved glass display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. In terms of memory storage, the Oppo R11 comes with a 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Oppo R11 runs on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with company’s ColorOS custom UI skin running on top.

In terms of optics, the new Oppo R11 features a dual rear-camera setup with a LED flash. One camera sports a 20-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens, while another camera comes with a 16-megapixel sensor. The rear camera features include 2x lossless Zoom, Portrait Mode, and Qualcomm Spectra ISP for image processing. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel front-facing shooter for making video calls and capturing selfies.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) Oppo R11 offers various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-Type C port for superfast charging and data transfer. The Oppo R11 is fuelled by a decent 2900 mAh non-removable battery. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, E-compass, and Gyroscope sensors.
