After launching the P55 Max smartphone in the Indian market last month, Japanese electronics company Panasonic on Wednesday expanded its Eluga series smartphone portfolio with the launch of two new mid-range smartphones, namely Panasonic Eluga A3 and Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro in the Indian tech market. The Panasonic Eluga A3 has been launched in the country with a price tag of Rs. 11,290, while the Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro variant has been priced Rs. 12,790. Both the new smartphones will be made available for purchase in India starting tomorrow (August 10) via Panasonic official stores as well as all leading offline retail stores across the country in Mocha Gold, Gold and Grey colour options. The main highlights of the smartphones are their Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a massive 4,000mAh battery and an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, called Arbo. Arbo is a virtual assistant that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to track and learn your daily life activity patterns.

Commenting on the launch of the new Eluga A3 and A3 Pro smartphones, Mr. Manish Sharma, President & CEO, Panasonic India & South Asia, Vice President, Appliances Company and Executive Officer, Panasonic Corporation said, “We believe our in-house developed artificial intelligence (AI)-based virtual assistant—Arbo will be a differentiator. Panasonic Eluga A3 Specifications and Features:

In terms of specifications, the Panasonic Eluga A3 comes equipped with a 5.2-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a scratch resistance Asahi Dragon Trial glass coating on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clubbed with Mali T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Panasonic Eluga A3 is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.

In terms of photography, the Panasonic Eluga A3 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and an LED flash module. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for making video calls and capturing selfies.

For connectivity, this dual SIM smartphone offers 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Gravity sensor, Proximity sensor, a Fingerprint sensor (front-mounted) and Ambient Light Sensor. On the battery front, the Panasonic Eluga A3 comes packed with a powerful 4,000mAh battery. Dimensionally, the handset measures 148.7 x 72.4 x 9.1 mm and weighs 161 grams.

Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro Specifications and Features:

The Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro flaunts the same 5.2-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a scratch resistance Asahi Dragon Trial glass coating on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clubbed with Mali T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro also runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
