One more feat surpassed today, by Warner Bros’s and Patty Jenkins’s magically-woven Wonder Woman. The movie has now officially grossed $800 million worldwide. Plus, the DC installment, has also become the highest grossing superhero-origin movie of all time, domestically! It has surpassed 2002’s Spider-Man’s $403.7 million and now sits at $404 million.
It’s also the second-biggest domestic grosser of this year, being only behind Disney’s Beauty and the Beast’s $504 million.
The makers of the film have now also initiated their Oscar campaign for Wonder Woman-and it just deserves that.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, distributed by Warner Bros. and starring Gal Gadot, DC’s Wonder Woman is still running successfully in theatres, worldwide.
