After delivering a power packed performance in her action movie Akira, Sonakshi has donned the role of a carefree journalist for her next silver screen release titled Noor. Director by Sunhil Sippy, the movie is based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel, ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me’ and follows the life of a Pakistani journalist-writer Noor.
The two-and-a-half minute-long trailer begins with introducing Sonakshi Sinha as Noor, the joker journalist. Noor laments that there isn’t anything good about her life as she deals with issues ranging from her weight and hangover to finding true love. She decides to add zing in her life by switching from Seedhi to Tedhi Savitri. So she sets out on a fun-loving journey of savouring her life until a dramatic turn of events make her realize her responsibility towards work. Noor then embarks to discover her true calling as a journalist.
Popular YouTube comedian Kanan Gill makes his debut with this movie, and is essaying the role of Noor’s friend, along with actress Shibani Dandekar. Actor Purab Kohli plays a photojournalist and Sonakshi’s love interest in the film.
The trailer of the movie seems fresh and breezy. Sonakshi Sinha as a jolly journalist is something to look out for as it’s the first time she essays the role of a journalist. The rendition of the 70s hit Gulabi Ankhein Jo Teri Dekhin may also become a popular song amongst the youth.
We hope the movie turns out to be a blockbuster and engages the audience with its content and performances. Noor is scheduled to hit the theatres on 21st April, 2017.
