Shenzhen-based handset manufacturer ZTE on Thursday updated their Blade series smartphone catalogue by launching a new handset called, the ZTE Blade X Max in the USA. The Blade X Max comes with a price tag of $149.99 (approx. Rs. 9,650) and will be made available for purchase online from Cricket Wireless carrier and through all major retail stores in the US starting Friday (May 12). The economical price of this device might suggest a smartphone with weak performance, but the ZTE Blade X Max is rated to deliver an exceptional entertainment, photography, and productivity experience in its price range.

Commenting on the launch of ZTE Blade X Max, Lixin Cheng, the executive vice president of ZTE Corporation, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices and Chairman of ZTE USA, said, “The Blade series has been very successful overseas for the past eight years and we are excited to bring it to Cricket Wireless customers here in the US through the ZTE Blade X Max.” “Exemplifying what our affordable premium product strategy is, the ZTE Blade X Max pushes the envelope in terms of price and features without ever sacrificing quality,” Cheng added.

ZTE Blade X Max specifications and features: –

In terms of specifications, the ZTE Blade X Max sports a mammoth 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LCD display protected by Dragontrail glass. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the Blade X Max phablet comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by up to 128GB with a microSD card. On the software front, the device runs on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out of the box, with a light custom skin, running on top.

In terms of photography, the latest model of the Blade series sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front side, the handset features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for video calling and capturing selfies. Talking about its multimedia department, ZTE Blade X Max comes with Dolby Audio™ technology that provides premium sound to user while listening to music, watching videos and playing games on the device.

In terms of connectivity, the ZTE Blade X Max offers various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS, a 3.5mm Audio port, and USB Type-C for superfast charging and data transfer. The smartphone is backed by a 3400mAh non-removable battery and that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. ZTE Blade X Max also features a fingerprint sensor at the backside of the handset for biometric security as well as a heart rate monitor for health monitoring. The new handset measures at 165.1 x 83.06 x 9.4mm and weighs 196 grams.
