If you are planning to buy a big smartphone with built-in styluses, then LG got a new device for you. South Korean electronics company LG on Wednesday launched a new smartphone, called the “Stylo 3 Plus” in the US. The smartphone is now available for purchase through T-Mobile at USD 9 down and USD 9 a month for 24 months on T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan. You can also pay the full payment at $225 (approximately Rs. 14,600) without a contract. MetroPCS customers will also be able to pick up the Stylo 3 Plus smartphone in the month of June at MetroPCS stores nationwide.

In terms of specifications, the LG Stylo 3 Plus sports a 5.7-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Stylo 3 Plus is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Talking about its software fonts, Stylo 3 Plus runs Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box. The smartphone comes bundled with a metallic textured stylus pen, dubbed as Pen Pop 2.0. The smartphone’s Pen Pop 2.0 software to work with apps that can allow users to write down notes, draw a picture, take a quick screenshot, or even magnify a portion of the display. The LG Stylo 3 Plus also houses a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
T-Mobile has posted an unboxing video of the LG Stylo 3 Plus, which also provides a demo of the smartphone’s embedded stylus pen. In terms of photography, LG Stylo 3 Plus comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and an LED flash module. Talking about its selfie camera, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and capturing selfies with face detection feature.
In terms of connectivity, this single SIM (GSM and Nano-SIM) smartphone offers 4G with voLTE, WiFi (802.11b/g/n), GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Fingerprint sensor and Ambient light sensor. The LG Stylo 3 Plus is fuelled by a decent 3080mAh battery with fast charging support and claims to deliver up to 19 days of standby time and up to 14 hours talk time. The handset measures 155.7 x 79.7 x 7.3 mm and weighs about 150 grams.
