South Korean electronics company LG launched their flagship smartphone “G6” in the Indian market in February this year with a price tag of Rs. 51,990. Just three months after launch, the company has announced a price cut for its “G6” smartphone by Rs. 13,000. The smartphone, LG G6 is now retailing at a discounted price of Rs 38,990 on e-commerce website Amazon.in. Previously, LG India also offered its latest flagship G6 smartphone in India with Rs. 10,000 discount as part of its 20th anniversary in the country. However, the Amazon deal is valid for a limited time and is applicable for Amazon Prime members only. The discount is available on both Ice Platinum and Astro Black colour options of the LG G6. Amazon is also offering the smartphone at a No cost EMI options available for Bajaj Financial card holders. Apart from this, Reliance Jio users also can also get up to 100GB additional 4G data on purchase of the G6.
LG G6 specifications and features:
In terms of specifications, the LG G6 comes with a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and an 18:9 (or 2:1) aspect ratio. The device is powered by a 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. Talking about its software front, the LG G6 runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The LG G6 is an IP68 certified smartphone, that means the device is water and dust resistant.
In terms of photography, the LG G6 sports a dual rear camera setup combined with two 13-megapixel sensors. One 13-megapixel camera comes with 125-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture, while other 13-megapixel features a 71-degree lens, f/1.8 aperture, OIS 2.0 and an LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with 100-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture for capturing selfies and making video calls.
Connectivity options on the LG G6 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, USB OTG, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port for superfast charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, E-Compass, Proximity sensor, Fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted), and Gyroscope sensors. The LG G6 is fuelled by a decent 3300mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 14 hours of talk time and 136 hours of standby time. The smartphone measures at 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 163 grams. Additionally, the LG G6 also supports features like 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Dolby Vision, and HDR10.
