After launching its new affordable Pixi 4 (7) tablet in India last month, the TCL-owned Chinese handset maker Alcatel on Thursday launched its another budget-oriented tablet, dubbed as “Alcatel A3 10” in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 9,999, the new Alcatel A3 10 tablet will be made available for purchase starting June 15 (Thursday) exclusively via domestic e-commerce website Flipkart.com. To recall, the Alcatel A3 10 was first showcased at the MWC 2017 (World Mobile Congress) event in Barcelona back in February.
Commenting on the launch, Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India said, “The new ‘A3 10’ is designed to provide our users with a complete immersive experience. The tablet comes with an array of features, that are unprecedented at this price and shall change the shape of this segment entirely.”

Talking about its specifications, the Alcatel A3 10 sports a 10-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 Pixels. The Alcatel A3 10 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. In terms of memory, the tablet comes with a 16GB of native storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, it runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Alcatel A3 (10) features a 5-megapixel primary rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. Connectivity options on the tablet include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 (b/g/n), Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG, a 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include Proximity and G-Sensor. The Alcatel A3 10 tablet packs a high-density 4600mAh battery which claims to deliver up to 18 hours of talktime on 3G network, 22 hours of talktime on 2G network and 1300 hours of standby time.
