To recall, HMD Global launched its latest Nokia-branded Android smartphones in India last month at an event in New Delhi, which includes one mid-range Android smartphone, “Nokia 6” along with two lower mid-range smartphones namely Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. At the time of launch, the company announced that the new Nokia 6 Android smartphone will be up for pre-order starting July 14 exclusively via e-commerce website Amazon.in. And now the time is here as the pre-booking services for the Nokia 6 smartphone have begun on Amazon India from today (July 14) and the device will go for first flash sale on August 23 on the same e-commerce website. Amazon India has already put up a page with ‘Register Now’ live button, where interested customers can register their email ID to be eligible for the first flash sale. Note that, only registered customers are eligible for the first flash sale. Among these three Nokia Android smartphones, Nokia 6 is the most expensive Android-powered smartphone by HMD Global, which comes in India with a price tag of Rs. 14,999.
The e-commerce website Amazon India has also announced some exciting launch offers for the Nokia 6 buyers. Those Amazon Prime customers, who purchase a Nokia 6 smartphone using Amazon Pay balance, they will get Rs. 1,000 cashback in the form of Amazon Pay balance. Vodafone customers will get 10GB mobile data per month at Rs. 249 per month for 5 months on purchase of Nokia 6. In addition, there is also an offer from MakeMyTrip travel website, where Nokia 6 buyers will get Gift Vouchers worth Rs. 2500 (Rs. 1800 off on hotels & Rs.700 off on domestic flights). Apart from this, All Nokia 6 customers who register on the Amazon Kindle app will get up to 80 percent off on Kindle eBooks with a maximum of Rs. 300 off.
Nokia 6 Specifications:
In terms of specifications, the Nokia sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass coating on top. The display is also protected by the scratch resistance Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Nokia 6 is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Nokia 6 runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The smartphone sports a 6000 series aluminium chassis with a glossy black body.
The Nokia 6 also features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology support and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed underneath the physical home button of the device. In terms of optics, the Nokia 6 features a 16-megapixel rear sensor with 1.0-micron pixels, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter with 1.12-micron pixels, and an f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies and making video calls. The Nokia 6 comes packed with a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and measures at 154.0 x 75.8 x 7.8mm.
