Canon EOS 6D Mark II Specifications and Features:
The new Canon EOS 6D Mark II features a 26.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor coupled with company’s DIGIC 7 Image Processor, which the company claims it can deliver clear and high-quality images even under low light situations and is capable of achieving a mind-blowing background blur effect. The EOS 6D Mark II gets a 45-point all cross-type AF system and out of the 45 points, 27 points are f/8 aperture compatible.
The camera also features fast and accurate Dual Pixel CMOS AF with Phase-detection for high-performance focus tracking in Live View mode. The new Canon EOS 6D Mark II has a high sensitivity range of the image sensor which goes all the way up to ISO 102400, which should make it possible to capture images in next to no light without generating annoying noise. The standard ISO range is 100-40000 (expandable ISO 50 to ISO 102400). The another highlighted feature in this camera is its high-speed continuous shooting ability of up to 6.5 frames per second (fps). In the Live View mode, the camera can take pictures at 4fps.
The EOS 6D Mark II comes with a 5-Axis Image Stabilisation system built into the body which helps in capturing the best scenes and subjects even during pitch and yaw, horizontal and vertical shift. Further, it corrects the effects of slightest of hand tremors and produces blur-free shots, so that user can easily shoot a handheld movie without any fear. The camera’s exterior is designed to be dust and weather proof. The camera has a weather-sealed body which means light rain or temperatures will not harm the camera.
Apart from this, the EOS 6D Mark II comes equipped with a 7560-pixel (RGB+IR) metering sensor along with a colour detection AF unit that enables consistent and accurate exposure in various lighting situations. It automatically detects skin tones and gives priority to human subjects within the frame. Further, the camera detects which lens is paired with the main body, and corrects distortion and diffraction in shooting time by applying the appropriate balance of correction and all credits go to its lens aberration correction settings. The 6D Mark II is capable of shooting videos in full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution at 60 frames per second. Sadly, the camera does not offer 4K video recording capability.
On the back, the new Canon EOS 6D Mark II sports a 3-inch 3:2 Clear View II TFT Vari-angle touch screen display. By the versatile Vari-angle mechanism, a user can easily position at any desired angle for effortless shooting in high and low angle photography. Besides this, the display offers a clear, real-time preview with 100% field coverage for focusing, framing, and reviewing shots.
Connectivity options offered by the camera include built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, NFC, and GPS. The battery life of the EOS 6D Mark II can also be further elongated to continue longer shooting season with the help of optional battery grip (BG-E21) which houses 2 pieces of LP-E6N batteries. As we mentioned earlier, the camera comes with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, that allows users to transfer images and videos from the camera to smart devices and upload them onto the ‘Canon Image Gateway’, social media platforms and Cloud storage.
