Huawei’s sub-brand Honor on Friday launched its newest wearable, the “Honor Band 3” fitness tracker in the Indian tech market at a price tag of Rs. 2,799. If you don’t remember, the brand announced its latest Band 3 at the Honor 8 Pro launch event in New Delhi (India) earlier this month. Almost two weeks after the announcement, the new water resistance fitness tracker is now already made available for purchase exclusively on e-commerce website Amazon India in Classic Navy Blue, Dynamic Orange, and Carbon Black colour options. Out of these 3 hues, only the Carbon Black colour variant is now available on Amazon, while other shades will be introduced during the week of Rakshabandhan and Independence Day. According to the company, Honor Band 3 is the first device of its kind to offer up to 50m water resistance capability and up to 30 days battery life on a single charge.
Honor Band 3 Specifications and Features:
Similar to other wearable fitness tracker bands, the Honor Band 3 comes with fitness tracker support, running, walking, steps, cycling and sleep data facility, which shows calories consumed and physical activities. The fitness tracker sports a 0.91-inch (128 x 32 Pixels) vertical PMOLED display that allows the users to get useful information like notifications for phone calls, SMS, emails, social media alerts, physical activity related information and the amount of calories consumed. The Honor Band 3 comes with a 16mm wide, thermoplastic polyurethane strap which is comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.
The Honor Band 3 features a heart rate sensor that can detect your heart rate continuously. For heart rate tracking, the band has five zones to track and optimise user’s workouts more accurately – warm-up, fat burning, aerobic, anaerobic and extreme. Apart from these features, it also comes loaded with an infrared sensor, pedometer, and a 3-axis accelerometer that offers various types of activities including sleep schedule patterns, running, walking, steps, calories, distance and even bicycle rides along with the added benefit of showing real-time data for running and other physical activities. The Band 3 features heart rate algorithm paired with M4 core technology, which is optimised for 10 different fitness scenarios and delivers a heart rate data with greater accuracy. The wearable also comes integrated with Huawei’s TruSleep tracking technology that offers users a comprehensive sleep monitoring statistics including deep and REM sleeps, as well as sleep interruptions.
Compatible with both Android (Android 4.4 or higher) and iOS platform (iOS 8 or later), the Honor Band 3 makes it possible to synchronise data with a smartphone when paired with Bluetooth connection. The Honor Band 3 is a water-resistant device as it comes with 5 ATM water resistance capability, which means users can easily take the fitness tracker to a depth of up to 50 meters under water. Talking about its power, the wearable packs a 105mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 30 days on a single charge. Dimensionally, the new Honor Band 3 fitness tracker measures 10.3 x 43 x 16.5mm and weighs just 18 grams.
