However, there are many leaks and rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from the last couple of months. The Galaxy Note 8 has been subjected to multiple leaks ahead of its official debut which does reveal a gist of all the specifications and features about the upcoming phablet. If the emerging reports are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would see a significant overhaul in terms of specifications and arrive with a host of improvements. The main highlights of the device will be its 6.3-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, dual rear camera setup and a secure battery. We all know that it was a disaster for Samsung when its new Galaxy Note 7 had been catching fire due to its battery design and manufacturing problems. But now the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be a challenge to the company, where Samsung is taking extra precautions to develop its next flagship device worry-free.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumoured specifications and features:
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will sport a gigantic 6.3-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1440×2960 pixels. Like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the phablet will also have the dual-edge curved Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC or an Exynos 8895 processor depending on the market. In terms of memory, it is expected to come with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will run on Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box with company’s own custom UI skin.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to sport a horizontally arranged dual rear camera setup consisting of two 12-megapixel sensors with Optical Image Stabilization and an LED flash. The cameras are said to be situated to the left of the flash unit and heart rate sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will also come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner (will be positioned to the right of the flash unit and heart rate sensor) and an advanced S-Pen stylus. The S-Pen is expected to come with new features like language translation for full sentence and currency conversion. It will also bring the ability to pin handwritten notes to the smartphone’s always-on display. On the battery front, the Galaxy Note 8 is said to be powered by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery, which is slightly smaller battery compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 7, which had 200mAh extra battery capacity. But this time, Samsung is very careful to manufacture its upcoming Galaxy phablet’s battery.
However, these are all leaks and rumours, we will request our readers to wait till the official disclosure from the company for any confirmation.
