The Indian arm of the German luxury car manufacturer, Audi India on Thursday launched two special editions of its most popular A6 executive luxury sedan and the Q7 sport utility vehicle (SUV), dubbed as “Design Edition” in the Indian four-wheeler market. The Audi A6 Design Edition and the Audi Q7 Design Edition have been launched in the country in order to celebrate company’s 10 years’ successful journey in India. As for pricing, the Audi A6 Design Edition has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 56.78 lakh, while the Audi Q7 Design Edition costs Rs. 81.99 lakh (all prices are mentioned ex-showroom, Pan-India). The new Audi A6 Design Edition and Q7 Design Edition are exclusive products, meaning that they are cosmetically enhanced versions of the standard models and if you are planning to buy this special edition luxury sedan or SUV, please visit your nearest Audi-authorised showroom as soon as possible because the company has allocated limited units only (100 units each). The special edition Audi A6 and Q7 come with improved styling, exciting features, and a host of smart and luxury equipment.

Audi A6 Design Edition

Starting with the company’s business sedan, the Audi A6 Design Edition comes with a host of cosmetic updates and accessories including 19-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels with 5-semi V-spoke design, Door Puddle Projection Lamps with Audi logo on the front and rear doors, Audi smartphone interface (Apple Car Play and Android Auto) for the infotainment system, and Rear-seat entertainment screens for both passengers as standard. Apart from this, the Audi A6 Design Edition also comes equipped with standard Matrix LED headlights. Talking about its mechanical department, the Audi A6 Design Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 187 bhp of peak power against the peak torque of 400 Nm. The TDI diesel engine comes mated to a 7-speed S-TRONIC automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The Audi A6 Design Edition luxury sedan needs only 8.4 seconds to reach 100kmph from engine start and has an electronically restricted top speed of 232km per hour.

Audi Q7 Design Edition

Moving on the company’s luxury SUV, the Audi Q7 Design Edition receives Audi smartphone interface (Apple Car Play and Android Auto) for the infotainment system, 20-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels with 5-Spoke star design, Door Puddle Projection Lamps with Audi logo on the front doors and Quattro logo on the back doors, Full-body paint finish with smoked tail lamps, Running boards and Exhaust tips done in gloss black. In terms of power, the Audi Q7 Design Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that develops 249 bhp of peak power against the peak torque of 600 Nm. The TDI diesel engine comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the all four wheels via the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The Audi Q7 Design Edition luxury SUV needs only 7.1 seconds to reach 100kmph from engine start and has an electronically restricted top speed of 234km per hour.
