Japanese electronics company Panasonic on Tuesday launched its budget-oriented P77 smartphone in the Indian tech market with an upgraded inbuilt storage option. If you don’t remember, the Panasonic P77 was first launched in the country back in September last year only in 8GB inbuilt storage option and now the Japanese vendor has introduced an upgraded 16GB internal storage variant in the Indian market. With the new 16GB inbuilt storage variant, the Panasonic P77 will now be available in two variants: Panasonic P77 with 16GB native storage and Panasonic P77 with 8GB native storage. Priced at Rs. 5,299, the new Panasonic P77 with 16GB internal storage variant is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via e-commerce website Flipkart.com in Grey and White colour options. However, apart from its hardware job, the rest specifications and features of the Panasonic P77 are same to same as we have seen in the other existing Panasonic P77 model.

Recollecting some key specifications, the Panasonic P77 comes equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out-of-the-box.

For photography, the Panasonic P77 features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, 4P lens, an f/2.4 aperture and an LED flash module. On the front, the smartphone features a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for making video calls and capturing selfies. The rear camera features on the smartphone include HDR, Panoramic, Beauty Mode, Touch to Focus, Self-Timer, Scene Mode, and ISO Setting.

On the connectivity front, the Panasonic P77 supports dual-SIM dual standby, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor and Proximity sensor. On the battery front, the Panasonic P77 comes packed with a 2,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time. Dimensionally, the handset measures 143 x 72 x 7.6 mm and weighs 126 grams.
